Atlantic Highlands Historical Society Presents
Gordon Thomas Ward’s
Historic Haunts of Central Jersey
Wed. Oct, 17
Have you ever wondered if ghosts roam within historic sites and buildings of Central Jersey or how accurate are traditional stories of their presence?
As part of the Society’s October Halloween Events we will be presenting Gordon Ward, an author very much involved with the ghostly phenomena of Central Jersey, from the shadowed woods of the Somerset Hills to the banks of the Delaware River. Gordon was raised in an historic home in rural New Jersey that was haunted, resulting in a life-long interest in ghostly investigations and 40+ years experience in paranormal investigation.
Based on his book ‘Ghosts of Central Jersey’ Gordon delivers a rich mix of factual history and sound investigation of ghostly phenomena using power point photos of investigative sites and audio clips of the unexplained. The combination of an open-minded enthusiasm and level headed approach underscores his collection of reports that inform, entertain, and lead audience members to places where the past is considered to be very much alive and entwined with the present.
His knowledge, research, and ability to articulate and share his findings has led to the filming of a pilot episode for a TV show about ghosts.
Join us at the Strauss Mansion Museum at 27 Prospect Circle on Wednesday, October 17 at 7:30 pm.
Programs are free. Refreshments served.
